How to choose a pH meter for Pool?
We offer 2 types of pH meters for pools. Our basic pH meter is ideal if you have a above ground swimming pool and you don't need to measure the pH level of your pool every week. Our basic pH meter model is perfect for all customers who only require sporadic pH measurement and who do not want to spend too much. However, keep in mind that you will always need to calibrate your pH meter if you want the most accurate pH measurement.
If you have an inground swimming pool and you need to measure the pH level of your pool every week? We recommend our professional pH meter. This pH meter is extremely robust, waterproof and very accurate. And thanks to a replaceable pH probe, you only need to change the pH electrode and not the complete pH meter.
How to calibrate a pH meter for Pool?
You need to calibrate your pH meter for swimming pools at least 1 time per month or every 2 weeks if you measure frequently. Always use high quality pH calibration buffer and read the manual of your pH meter or pH probe. Our pH calibration buffer is compatible with every pool automation system, pool pH meter or pool pH electrode available on the market. We recommend the use of our professional range of pH calibration solutions for pools.
The ideal pH level for a swimming pool?
The ideal pH level for a swimming pool is around pH 7.2. This pH level is preferred because it matches that one of the skin and the eyes. But it is also a pH level that keeps the chlorine active. The pH level of your pool has an impact on the activeness of the chlorine. The higher the pH level, the less active the chlorine, the lower the pH level the more active the chlorine. This is why it is important to regularly measure the pH level of your pool with a calibrated pH meter or pH electrode.
